"open with" "other programs" blank
Hi, This is not a show stopper, but it is a bit irritating... When i click "open with" the "other programs" section is empty. If i then browse for a program, select it and ok to return to the "open with" window, the "other programs" section is populated with lots of programs and two instances of the program i selected. Is my windows 7 broken? what can i do to fix this? Thanks. If I am all here, does that mean I am not all there?

Hi, How about clicking the ^ sign. In your screen it may be upside down on the right side of the "Other Programs" label. Cheers Rem

Sometimes you have to click the up and down arrows and you will see the Recommended Programs. You can also click Browse and look for the program you want to open it with.

Thanks - thats the answer. i was clicking on the words "other programs" which actually highlights the entire row - including the ^ symbol. Who'd have thought there was a seperate action at the end?? Failed Design here !! And why the Other Programs dont show up by default is also a Failed Design. I'm convinced no-one proof-checks these things before release!!
